I have had the $100 Kitchenaid blender for a few years now. What a pain it is, it actually is an 8 piece assembly (not including the base). So each and everytime you use it, ugh! And I don't put the rubber gaskets (2!) in the dishwasher, so handwashing and then re-assembly is a chore/hassle. The tribest-200 is incredible. I am using it twice daily to mix protein shakes, it does a great job, and I have not had any problems with the ice crushing at all. The best part is only 2 pieces to clean up! Wahoo! I like the fact I can assemble the shake (powder, water, ice cubes), mix and then use the same container to drink it. I did upgrade and buy the case that includes the commuter lid (no spills on the road).

We bought this little powerhouse about 3 months ago and use it daily! I make smoothies every morning with it. We also use it to grind spices, make guacamole, salsa, dips, dressings, gazpacho. Just remember that the "wet" blade always has to be used with at least 1/4 cup of liquid in it (I tried grinding carrots alone - but had to add water).
It is incredibly easy to clean, just add a little soap and water and whir it through the blender, rinse and dry ...(it's not dishwasher safe!)
Also - the containers are also great for storage - we leave the dressings in them in the fridge (rather than dirtying another jar).
Very useful, simple and light-weight blender; great for a raw diet too - because of the size it is so easy to pack it up to travel with.

When I first decided to buy a personal blender, I shopped around, I picked this one and then started read the reviews. I dedided to buy this one, and I LOVE it, Who said it doesnt crush ice, I made all sorts of smoothies, this thing is powerful and and very easy to clean. I recommend it to anyone who likes to make small drinks on the fly.

I was a little bit skeptical when I purchased this item. It seemed like a knock-off of all those "Magic Bullet" clones out there. Also I was dismayed to see the containers were made of plastic. Based upon the reviews however(and based upon the negative feedback I saw about the Magic Bullet), I scooped one of these up.
Could not be more pleased. First of all, if there is such thing as "quality plastic", this thing has it. The containers are rock solid and convey a real feeling of..well..quality. The unit itself is very simple and understated, almost too much. No buttons, just a cream colored cylinder waiting to take you to Smoothie Dream Land. Or Soup Dream Land. Or wherever your blending heart may take you. I've made smoothies, frozen yogurt(toss in some frozen berries and soy milk and you're golden), broccoli soup. It's all good. The only reason it gets 4 out of 5 is that it will leave some small chunks of ice sometimes. No big deal, as I'm pouring I just sift them out. I've had that issue with every blender I have ever bought. It still does a better job than all the rest.
Also, clean-up could not be more simple. In fact I think that's what I am most happy about. Rather than some multi-part jobby with taking a huge blender pitcher and unscrewing gaskets, blades, blah blah..you just take the cup and the blade off, unscrew the blade(which is also the cover), quick rinse the blade and enjoy your brew right out of the cup. Couldn't be more simple. All in all, one of the few purchases I've made of late with no regrets. Cheers!

I had to face it that I wasn't making my protein shakes because it was way too messy having to clean up both the large mixing bowl on my blender and the smoothie glass everytime I wanted a quick fix.
I also tended to make TOO much of the beverages. With a 16oz tumbler, you get portion and calorie control on things like fruit smoothies. I often make way too much when I use my Oster blender, and end up either throwing stuff out or taking in too many calories or too much sugar.
You fill the cup with the ingredients you want. Screw on the cap. Pulse to break the ice, then lock it in to blend. When the cup is removed, you unscrew the lid and can drink directly out of the cup. You wash the cup. Finished.
Most people learn about making smoothies by watching people at juice shops make super large portions they pour into superlarge cups made in super large blenders. No wonder we think we have to do it the same way at home.
You are NOT Jamba Juice. There are way too many calories and too much sugar in the average juice bar smoothy.
Take some control over the time, effort and quality of your smoothies, protein drinks etc and buy this blender!
The little cups and alternate blade have proven well mincing onions and garlic. This little wonder also serves as a very efficient 1 or 2 cup mini food processor as well.
I am impressed with some of the other products this company Tribest offers. Their juicers are designed to squeeze juice out of fruits and vegetables efficiently and at low temperatures to preserve live enzymes for better nutrition. The fact that HOW you juice something would matter had never occured to me.
I believe there is a lot of thinking and care behind their products.
