Great little personal blenderJun 25, 2010
By Getting Healthy I've had the personal blender for a little over a week now and have used it everyday for smoothies. This powerful little blender whips up frozen fruits (bananas, berries, mangoes, pinneapples, etc), in a few seconds with no problems. It also does a great job at grinding spices.
I love that the product contains no BPA's. It is extremely easy to use and clean, and comes with (2)small and (2)large blend and serve cups with lids. It also has a travel lid which is great for that "smoothie on the go." The small footprint and attractive design makes it easy to take along when traveling or leave out on the counter when at home.
If you are thinking about purchasing this blender, don't hesitate, you will love it! I just hope it lasts for the long haul, not many products do these days. I'll try to revisit this review next year this time with any updates. I also have Tribest SoloStar juicer and love that as well.
Tribest rocks!!

Works for my purposesApr 17, 2010
By C. Hathaway Bought this to replace my bullet blender as I could not get replacement cups for the bullet and they all broke. Supposedly has less power, but I have not noticed a difference. Certainly is quieter and I LOVE that I can buy replacement cups. I use this for my am breakfast shakes and it seems to be able to blend up the ice without problems.

My favorite blenderJun 10, 2010
By J. Prentice While this blender isn't as powerful as a Vitamix, it is perfectly adequate for most purposes and is great for everyday use. What I love most about this blender is the convenience and easy clean-up. It stays on my counter and I use it every day for making smoothies and salad dressings. As another reviewer mentioned, it isn't the best at blending frozen items. It does takes a little time to blend up frozen items like chunks of fruit but it will do it. Having 4 cups (2 different sizes) with tops is wonderful. The small cups are perfect for blending things like salad dressing without pulling out your large food processor. The tops make it easy to store left overs. Another thing I like is that you can order parts for the blender should anything go wrong. The size is great and I plan on taking my blender with me whenever I travel. I highly recommend this product!

8-years and still going - It's earned a review!May 06, 2011

I rely so heavily on other buyers reviews when purchasing that I felt after all these years I had to finally write a review. Thanks all you reviewers!!!
In my opinion here are the pros and the cons:
CON:
Not as aesthetically pleasing as other personal benders. (But I'd rather have functionality over fashion any day)
PROS:
Grinds Coffee !!!
Grinds Ice
Grinds Spices (think dried mulling spices ground for a tea or the holidays or all my indian spices- Mmmm)
Blends (anything)
Puree: Hummus
Puree: Pesto
Whips: Salad Dressing
Whips: Personal Whip Cream
I bought this blender for a friend many many years ago and fell in love with it- then bought one for myself. The one I purchased had two blades an S blade - 1 piece of metal and a + or cross blade- 2 pieces of metal. (If you are seriously debating on the $6 difference - absolutely get BOTH. While one is in the dishwasher the other will be prepped for your next blend).
Several years later when my expensive coffee grinder wen on he blitz I, in a 5 AM crunch remembered Tribest clam to grind, so I gave it a shot and ground beans in this little personal blender. I never bought replacement coffee grinder! I can measure and grind the exact beans I want the night before (read- no morning noise AND fresh beans) and beautiful coffee on the auto drip in the AM- bliss! If you are looking for smoothies this is a no brainier, ice, frozen fruit, whatever your fancy, pre-mix the dried (whey- cinnamon, nutmeg, dehydrated lemon or orange don't short yourself on creativity here) then add ice, berries liquid of choice, swap lids to the travel lid and GO. Ever need to make whip cream for two? - Done!
Savory not sweet - don't fret- hummus and pesto are regulars in my Tirbest. Even if it isn't the most beautiful item on my counter, it is the most used, most useful and longest lived electronic item in my kitchen. Never made homemade salad dressing, start simple, olive oil, lemon and/ or vinegar and a herb (thyme, dill, basil, mint) fresh pepper and/or red pepper flakes and 30 seconds. There is no end in sight. I make all my own ranch, vinaigrette and and anything else in less than 5 minutes, conception to salad. Healthy and organic and oh-so-easy to use, with only two dishwasher safe parts to clean up! - BLISS
So it took me 8 years to write a review... I think this little blender earned it. There are only a select few other electronic items in my kitchen that have outlived it!

Great personal blender that's easy to use and cleanJan 06, 2011
By webgrl I LOVE this personal blender. I use it daily, as do my husband and son. We each make our own morning shakes with frozen fruit, milk and protein powder. It's nice that we can choose our own ingredients, so I can make mine with almond milk and flax, and my son can use regular milk and his favorite frozen berries.
The cups that come with the blender don't hold a lot of ingredients, so I bought the XL cups on the side. I also bought more travel lids, since we take our smoothies with us. The downside of the XL cups is that they are really tall, which makes them less stable in car cupholders.
I have not found anything the blender won't blend. We've blended ice, frozen fruit, fresh fruit and vegetables and have added many different kinds of liquid to it. It literally takes less than a minute to create your own smoothie and at a fraction of the cost of the smoothie joints. It can be used as a food processor / vegetable chopper when you make omelets or any other recipe.
The cups say that they must be hand washed, and they do clean up just fine with hot water and a dab of soap, but I have run them in the dishwasher with no adverse effects.
