5Great product.Sep 29, 2010

I am very pleased with the Soyapower soy milk maker. I researched soy milk makers for several months before I finally committed to purchasing one. This one seemed to be what I was looking for and within my price range. It has proven to be a really good product. I have made soy milk just about every day since it arrived. It is very simple to use, quick to make soy milk and cleanup is pretty simple. I've made a few batches of tofu too from the soy milk and it has turned out great. I have used the Okara ( the ground, cooked soy beans)in several recipes and they have turned out really good too. I like the okara eaten just like oatmeal so that is my new morning breakfast, adding some berries and or nuts and maybe a bit of yogurt.
I also found that adding about 2 tablespoons of dry oatmeal into the Soyapower along with the soaked soybeans makes the milk creamy.
I would recommend this product to anyone looking at purchasing a soy milk maker.

5Going on 4 years now - Not a single problem!Dec 03, 2010
By Michael Smith "Michael"
Many years ago my wife and I seriously began to pay attention to what was going into our bodies. We stopped eating fast food, we started buying organic whenever possible and we buy as local as possible. One of our changes was to get away from regular milk and switch to soy milk. The pre-cartoned stuff is LOADED with sugar, which was unwanted. And its expensive too! So we bought this maker and could not be happier. I figured up the cost once, it costs me .45 cents a gallon to make, compared to $4 for a gallon of milk, AND we get better nutrition.
We've had it for four years now, hundreds of gallons of soy milk made in it. It has more than paid for itself in saving from buying gallons of milk. This is an excellent product, though I think its time to have the little blade sharpened.
And one other thing: The mesh tends to get clogged over time, but just boil it in a pot of water for half an hour, it'll clean right up!

5Great milk, big savings, easy to use, easy to cleanJan 29, 2011

"It's about the economy, stupid" (Clinton).
In our economy, a soy milk maker is the only way to go, but ONLY a SOYAPOWER maker! And where else, but from a reputable, safe vendor such as AMAZON.COM!

We don't drink soy milk in our home. I use the machine to make almond and rice milk and soon to experiment with other nuts, seeds etc. With a little natural sweetener, this is goooood stuff.

Easy to clean if you don't let the stuff dry on the unit while it lays in the sink all day. As soon as you can run some hot water on the hot metal parts , it's clean! A little sponge is provides for possible touch-up spots in corners.

I had anther brand of soy milk makers that claimed one could make oat milk. Yuch! It was slimy with gluten.. When I saw my brown rice and almond milk come out so good, I knew I had the right machine.

Experiment! You'll have a ball , you'll enjoy what you make, and you'll save a buck! Next for me...to try brown rice alone and almonds alone!
